convert html powerpoint to word

I want to convert a PowerPoint presentation that is in html format into a
Word document. I've tried "sending," it to Word, but it stays in html
format and I can't read it off-line.

Good morning DR,

The easiest way to do this depends on what you want the finished product to
be in Word.

Are you looking for full page slide objects in Word? Good, I hoped not.
That'd be like using a tuning fork to churn butter; it'd work, but is just
too much work and while a tuning fork is an excellent tool, there are much
better tools for this purpose.

Are you looking for handouts in Word? If so then open the PowerPoint
program, then from within PowerPoint open the HTML document. Then use the
File => Send To... => MS Word function.

Is there some other format you are looking to end up with? Let us know and
we'll make suggestions. Please also include which version of PowerPoint you
are using. Some of the solutions for 2007 are very different from those
used in 97.

I'm a novice so I'm not certain what you mean by a
"slide object."

Here's what I want: all of the text from the PowerPoint document in a
single Word document.

Here's what I tried to do:
while online, I "saved" the PowerPoint html document. I could not send to
Word nor powePoint. then, I opened PowerPoint, but I don't know how to
import the html into it; thus, I could not open the html document "from
within PowerPoint" as you instructed... What did I miss?

I have the 2002 version of PP.

Thank you kindly for responding
