conversion of .dvr-ms

I looked back through some threads from February and found that DVR 2 WMV
could be used to convert a .dvr-ms file to be used in moviemaker. If so, how
can I find this program ? I want to edit some recorded tv and some old home
videos, mostly so I can add music.

Here is what I tried:
1. I tried to use the link to the green button to download DVR2WMV but the
site would not come up.

2. I captured video from my tv tuner through Sonic myDVD and saved it as an
mpeg file. Then, used RAD video tools to convert it to .avi. After that I
imported the .avi file into moviemaker. I have audio, no video.

3. I took the original mpeg file and used RAD to convert the video only
(using microsoft video 1 compression) to an avi file. This played fine with
audio and video in WMP, but when I imported it into mm, it gave an error
message that said there were too many events to fire from (I also get this
message when I try to import just the mpeg file)

I've tried everything I can think of!

I have 4 methods on my website page and RAD video tools isn't involved in
any of them... I'm seeing the green button link not working also, but what
about the other 3 methods?
