Hi, Jimmy.

Yes. Have you tried to import the tables into an Access 2003 database? Was
there an error message?

Tables? Forms? Reports? Coding?

Some things are much more stright forward to convert than others. If all
you want is to get the actual info contained in the table. Then yes, it
should be quite stright forward. you might even be able to link to the table
from access 2003 (although I have never done it but I believe it can be done).

Also, I have opened several old db '97 in access 2003 and always get a
prompt whether I wish to convert the file... I have done it and many times it
works fine. it depends on different factors. If you do this make sure to
have a backup just in case.

Give us some more info and someone here will be able to guide you properly!

I will try to import the tables and see how that works. Will let you know.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I have tried the conversion but it will not work. I
will try linking to the actual tables and see if this will work. Will follow
up with results.

What message(s) were you getting? Likely there will be some no longer
required references.

Ctrl+G will take you into the Debug/Immediate window. Then click on
Tools on the menu bar and References.

The Access 2003 default references when the MDB is in A2000 format are
Visual Basic for Applications
Microsoft Access 11.0 Object Library
OLE Automation
Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library
Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.1 Library

The Access 2003 default references when the MDB is in A2002/A2003
format are
Visual Basic for Applications
Microsoft Access 11.0 Object Library
OLE Automation
Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library
Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.5 Library
