Hi

I just installed the drivers for my new ATI X850 Pro (Catalyst Version
5.11, running on Win2k SP4). After I did this I wanted to fine-tune
some settings but trying to start the control center only produced an
error message stating that mscoree.dll was not found. So I installed
the NET-Framework Version 2 but although I don't get the error message
anymore the Control Center just doesn't start. Regardless wheter I try
to start it from the Display Properties or from the Taskbar Icon,
nothing happens. How can I get the control center to work ?

Bye

Try "start/ati/restart runtime" then open ccc.

Did it several times, but the ccc still doesn't start.

Same thing here, just hauled home a X850 Pro AGP, and installed the drivers,
but the Catalyst Control Center simply will not pop up...

That CCC is devilspawn. Remove .Net , uninstall CCC, go back to the
ordinary driver and live without the features you miss out. When ati stops
support for regular driver, nvi...

I got it working. I used a backup I made earlier and installed Net 1.1
instead of 2 and - voila - it works.
But there are still two problems :

1. It is strange but there is more free space between the symbols on
the desktop than there was with the Nvidia-Driver. The ATI-Driver is
set to the same resolution I used with the Nvidia-Card : 1280x1024.
Is there any way to adjust this ?

2. I can't get the TV-Out to work. After installing the card I plugged
the Multi-Connector Cable in and connected the SVHS-Cable leading to
my TV to the Plug with the "Arrow-Away"-Symbol. After a lot of
fiddling around with the controls I enabled the "Clone-View" in the
CCC - but the TV Display is still black. HELP.

I ditched mine and rolled back to 5.10 from guru3d.com with the regular
control panel controls, not the CCC thing...

Rolling back allowed me to run Civ4, which 5.11 would not...
