Hi
I have some data I am displaying in a continuous form.
There is a memo field which has data that varies from 1 line to 30 lines.
(there is an example below)

I have likewise got a report with the same info that uses cangrow and
shrink. The user is happy with the report but not the form.
In the form, either each record is large so the short entries waste a lot
of space, or large in which case scroll bars appear.

Is there any way of making the form loom more like the report

We are using Access XP

Example

1 Jun A short text line

2 Jun A long essay ^

No. Controls on a Form do not have a Can Grow property in Form View
(only for Print out). So the controls must either be sized very tall
to show the Memo without scrolling, or else the control's scroll bar
must be used.

no, but you could come up with a design that has a fixed text box on the
right side of the form, and when you scroll through the records, then this
text box would display the text.

There is some ideas and screen shots here:

In the above examples, the right side is a another continues form that
provides a drill down, but that right side could also be just a large text
box...
