continuing slide show through music

Hi
I have a pres of 30 slides on slide six I have inserted a music track I want
the automatic timed show to continue while the music plays. But it stops at
the slide with the music on it evem though I have set an auto transition.
I 97 version I think there wa s a continue show while sounds play but I
can't find equivalent in PPT 2003 can anyone help?

You are correct. It is confusing to find this and it would be nice to have
an easily understandable setting for this but :

Custom Animation | Effect Options and "Stop Playing after ... " n
slides.
If that option is not set .. the slide is blocked from advancing 'til the
audio is finished for the slide where audio was first embedded.
