contacts missing emails

Suddenly my auto fill for names onemails is gone. When I go to address book
contacts the emails are gone. When I go to word and mailing envelopes the
addresses that used to show up are gone. The only thing that appears is the
name of the person.

What happened just before "suddenly?"
Does all your Contact data look intact in your Contacts Folder?
What Outlook version?
What do you mean by "names onemails?"

Hi Russ

Sorry, I am using outlook 2007 as part of Office 2007. Suddenly just meant
it worked fine and then it had this problm. Nothing happened.

Contacts has all the correct data. I used to type a first name in email
and then all the names and emails would appear. Now you have to type the
last name. When the dialog box comes up it shows the name and display name
but no email.

In word when you click on mailings and envelopes you get the same dialogue
box. Before the whol name and address would appear on the envelope. Now you
get just the name. I went to the web and followed all the steps and
everything was correct.

Thank you for yoru help!

Dennis

Your description is a little too vague to be able to figure out what
happened from your post alone. You seem to be describing both a problem with
autocompletion (which is what you invoke by typing in the To: field) and the
address book service (what you get when you use the address book in Word to
select recipients). These are completely unrelated functions and suggest a
far reaching corruption of your Outlook profile. You have no clue how this
happened? If you are in fact experiencing both problems, you'll need to
create a new Outlook profile from scratch:

In fact, you'll need to do this even if the problem is only confined to your
address book because Outlook 2007 no longer permits you to repair your
address book service (permanent bug). Once you create a new profile, be sure
you then configure your address book service correctly:
