Contacts file is not used

Using Vista and Windows Mail. The Contacts folder is well populated and
viewable. However, when preparing new mail, the address book that Mail is
going to is NOT the contacts folder, but rather an old email adress book.
How do I point Mail to the Contacts folder? (I cannot even find the address
book that is being used)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you! The programs seem to be running as intended and I see what I

searched for an answer here before and was told to try a different e-mail
program.
