Contacts displayed in Folder view

When I click the contacts button in Windows Mail, it gives me a folder view
of all my contacts. There is no button to add a new contact and no way to
create a new group. Is this something I accidentally turned on? How do I
fix it?

It sounds like your Contacts folder is using the wrong folder template to
display.

Open your Contacts folder from the toolbar button>right click in a blank
area of the folder>select 'customise this folder'>select Contacts from the
drop down menu.

Thank you all for your responses. My problem is now fixed. Are there any
iphone and vista experts out there?

Thanks,
Bella

When you open Contacts look top left on the tools bar you will see a button
labeled
*New* with a drop down triangle, click on that and you will see *add
contact* or *add group*
among other options. If for some unknown reason you don't see *New* right
click an open area
on the tool bar *Customize tool* bar and add the icon for new or others.

Sorry that info in my reply is for (WLM) windows Live mail contacts not (WM)
windows mail contacts.
Open WM contacts and at top of window on the tools bar at top is where all
the icons
are located, you should see a button for *New Contact* and one for *New
Contact Group*
with a small icon to the left of each.
For more details, while your in the contacts folder click on Help> View Help
and the help
files for contacts will open. That should take care of everything you have
asked about.

Not to worry H Brown, you where 3 days late with the info anyway.

Hi Mac
I'm confused, just saw this post 03/12/2009 on MS public windows vista mail
Newsgroups downloaded to day, clue me in as to what your talking about.
What did I do wrong? Or what did I miss.

What he means is that the OP's post was dated March 10,
and it received a correct and complete response within the hour,
so there was no need to follow up on it several days later.
