Contact View - Flag Status

IN OL2007 why must the status flag column be only the rightmost? I can set
it to appear further to the left but when I hit enter it always appears at
the right. This is crazy as I have to sideways scroll every contact to
check or change the status.

I agree it's a pain and it appears to be a bug. I can move that flag status
up or down in the list via Customize Current View but the flag never moves.
