Constant total lockups

This is happening on a Gateway E-3400 PC (700Mhz). After
about 5 mins of up time, it totally locks and requires a
power down. I've replaced memory, ROM drives, NICs and
graphics cards; without success. I cannot run any of my
diagnostics as it crashes before they can even be
installed. One observation: it seems like nearly
everything is using Interrupt 9, and I cannot alter these
settings. And here's the kicker. In 'safe' or 'VGA' mode,
no crashes. Norton Systemworks 2003 found no problems,
while in safe or VGA modes. I will try some of my other
diagnostic apps in VGA mode. I'm just not sure if they
will find the problem while in this/these modes. An
updated NAV (in VGA mode)found no malware. The inside is
literally dust free and nothing is even warm to the
touch. Help! Thnx in advance......Erik

Shared IRQ's is normal and Win2000 is designed that way. You have a bad
driver in there somewhere is my guess.
