After starting IE receive the following message"This rogram has performd an
illegal operation and will be shut down", followed by "If problem persists,
contact the program vendor" by clicking the "Details" button, I am informed
"Explorer caused an invalid page fault in module msvcrt.dll at
0187:78015ca2"...followed by "registers" and a series of strings ( eax...,
ebx...,ecx...)...any idea whats happening. Running windows 95... Thanks for
any help that may be forthcoming...

Hi Tom C.,
May that help you find the answer:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/190536
Did you install any software/hardware recently on your machine?.
Also is your computer clean from malwares and graywares?.
If the above not your solution then try to download this tool Filemon or
Regmon from Sysinternal:
http://www.sysinternal.com
And see what processor is causing this.
HTH.
Please let us know.

You have posted in a newsgroup for Internet Explorer 6, which is not
supported on Windows 95. I suggest you ask in a newsgroup that deals
with Windows 95.
