Connection Wizard

Computer Support tech had me Restore Windows XP OS (did not use disk) from Safe Mode due to sluggish operation. Now, my Connection Wizard will not allow me to manually configure a modem connection. After a few more calls to tech support and my Internet Provider, it was determined that the Restore was performed with periferal devices connected and caused the Restore to configure incorrectly(?). Subsequent checks of the modem itself were successful and a hyper terminal dial out was Ok. From the Connection Wizard I select (*) Connect to Internet, (*)Set up my connection manually then the next page defaults to (*)Connect using broadband connection. The first two choices, ( ) dial up modem and ( ) broadband connection that requires username and password are shadowed (unselectable). Any ideas? My wife is gonna kill me! Thanks.

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
