connection wizard problems, - dial up

Having problems with using connectection wizard to create
a dial up connection with my ISP on a lap top that I got
about a month ago.

The option to connection using a dial up modem cannot be
selected, according to the device manager the modem is
working fine and is enabled, along with the ports.

What do I need to change to be able to select a dial up
modem.

Hope you can understand this.

Type the question in MS knowledge base a registry setting is causing this
problem.
