Started receiving this message after running a repair install on a windows xp
pro machine with SP2. Ran repair install because we could not get windows
updates and could update media player 9 to media player 10. After repair
install was able to run updates and was able to update the media player.
Internet is dsl and network connected through d-link router. Have tried
different ports in router and have even attempoted to connect direct to
modem, but problem still persists. Have cleaned a all malware and viruses,
and have even installed a different ethernet card, but problem remains. Lan
connectivity goes away as indicated by baloon message saying Local Area
Connection. The connection has little or no connectivity... After a couplke
seconds the baloon disappears and the connection is restored, then a while
later it repeats. Thanks to all with advice.
