Connection acitivity icon

Hello , i have a problem with the connection icon on the taskbar
(notification area beside the clock ) the icon changes to two monitors with a
earth little icon on top of them when i connect to the net but the the net i
want them to flash when there is an activity and yes i already turned on the
acitivity animation but no luck and it's still the same like it's functioning
curreclty , can anyone help me with this issue

I'm not clear on what you're asking. Can you explain it again? Are you
saying that the connection icon incorrectly displays that there is no
traffic, despite the fact that there is very clearly traffic to and from
your network card?

Even Im facing the same problem. There's no animation even after i turn the
"Activity Animation" on. In XP there woulsd be a pic of two monitors
flashing. But in Vista there's no flashing going on, to knw if the server is
responding or not. Eachtime i have to go to the statuk to check it

Same here, with Home Premium on my HP laptop.
