Connecting to works computer

Can anyone please give me guidelins on how to connect to a works networked
computer from home. I do not htink the set up is a domain, there is two
computers in the office one connected to the internet, by broadband and one
stand alone. We intend to connect the two PCs wirelessly and would like to
be able to connect to them from home.
Is this going to be possible?
If so what do we have to do to connect from home?

Thanks in advance

You really need to ask this question of your network administrator or
computer support folks at work. There are many ways to do this and if you
don't use the way your work network supports you're out of luck.

Richard,

Thanks for the response.

It is my small office and I am support & network admin. That is why I am
asking for guidance. I dont really want to fork out a lot of money if I can
easily do it myself
Any advice or comments on what software, if any, is required welcome

Hamachi was recommended to me by another sysadmin a while back, haven't got
round to trying it yet. http://www.hamachi.cc/

I use Zebedee, not the easiest to set-up (involves editing linux-like
textconfigs) but it works well.

Oh, it can easily and cheaply be done - the problem is doing it in a secure
manner so that hackers and crackers cannot violate your work network.
Personally, I'd recommend looking into adding a firewall or router device at
your work location that also provides a VPN endpoint - that is, a device
that allows you to make VPN connections to it rather than a device that
"supports" VPN or has "VPN pass-through" and relies on a computer at work to
allow or disallow the connection.
