Connecting to AOL

D

Don Dillon

Installed and SMC 1244 ethernet card, and attempted to
connect to Broadband Blaster DSL modem, connects to AOL
then I get booted out at step 5. AOL is saying it's an XP
problem, the card vendor says the card is okay. I can no
longer connect via dial-up either. Have spent hours
unloading and reloading AOL 9.0, have moved the card to a
different PCI slot, and been through 10 different support
techs at AOL. Any suggestions??

Thanks

Greetings --

I'm afraid you'll need to contact AOL's tech support for resolution
of problems with (or caused by) their product; Microsoft has no
control over AOL's product quality (or lack thereof).

A suggestion, go to Control Panel/Network Connections and delete your
Broadband Connection and then create a new one. What is Step 5?
