Connecting Laptop to TV

I hooked my laptop to my tv with the s-video connection on the back of my laptop and the laptop will display things on the tv, however there is no color. It will only display in black and white. Is there a way I can make it to display color on my tv?

If you are in Europe or somewhere else in the world that uses PAL tv system,
ensure you're connecting via either an SVHS connection or SCART.
