Connecting an Dell XPS1210 to a Blackberry 7130e as a modem

I am running Dell XP supplied XP Media Center. I installed BlackBerry
Desktop Manager and Sprint PCS connection software to use the Blackberry as a
modem on the Sprint Broadband network. This worked great for two days, now
when I try to connect the Sprint software indicates that I need to connect my
phone, even though the BB Desktop Manager recognizes the 7130e as being
connected to the PC via one of the USB ports. I have removed and reinstalled
both the BB Desktop Manager and Sprint connection software, but the problem
continues. Wireless card and bluetooth are switched off. Anyone out there
had this problem and know of any quick fixes ?

I had the same problem with my 7130e - the Sprint tech support folks
had no clue what to do about it. I found that pulling the battery out
of the phone and putting it back in fixes the problem temporarily.
