Connect to NOVELL Version 3.12 via IPX/SPX not LogIn

Hi All!

I must connect windows Embedded XP with a NOVELL server version
3.12!Connection over the protocol IPX/SPX.
For that I bound that „Client services for NetWare“.

The LogIn at the NOVELL is then however not successful.

1st windows Embedded XP did not insert itself in the flaring up on the
NOVELL-server.
2. In the network environment, the NOVELL-Server is visible, but not eligibly.
3. In the registration of the preferred server in CSNW, the error message
comes always „access denied“
4. In the NOVELL-Server stands under „Active Connections†NOT-LOGGEG-IN

What do I must sounded so that the access is possible?

but I do not understand this workaround:

I believe this was listed in the relnotes. This occurs in XP-Pro as well,
the deal is that netware couldn't handle logon via Friendly Logon UI, it has
a hard requirement on the two-tiered logon ui.


Try this - you can include the service but not have it running by default if
you don't have to. As i recall, you can try disabling the snetcfg action in
the component's FBResource in TD - this will add the bits but not configure
the CSNW service during FBA.

What part of that post you could not understand?
Before we go any further, are you working with Target Designer tool and having a way to change your XPe image?

thank You for your answer,
here my answer to that is what You ask:

1. I working with Target Designer tool
and I have building the XPe image.

2. First I have building the XPe image,
with connect to server via TCP/IP,
its work fine. No problem.

3. I testet the NOVELL-Serve with my Notebook
(runs under Windows XP PRO), its works fine.
I testet with the same Username and the same
Password (as the XPe). Its works fine.

4. Next step was added "Client Services for NetWare"
with all other components (via Dependency Check)

5. In "Windows Logon (Standard)" I set the Settings:
"Enable Legal Notice before Winlogon:" OFF
"Show Friendly Winlogon:" OFF
"Show "Welcome to Windows" screen before Winlogon:" OFF

6. I build this System on the CF-Card, but the function is wrong:

The LogIn at the NOVELL is then however not successful.
In the network environment, the NOVELL-Server is visible,

--> IPX/SPX via Notebook is OK
--> IPX/SPX via Xpe not work! Why???

Did you try disabling the snetcfg action in the "Client Services for NetWare" component's FBResource in TD ?

then I made following:

--> "TD"
--> "Client Services for NetWare"
--> "Resource"
--> with right mouseclick disable "snetcfg.exe"

but the function is furthermore wrong.


The problem is:
The LogIn at the NOVELL is then however not successful.
In the network environment, the NOVELL-Server is visible,
but not eligibly.



Please, what must I do?
