connect to exchange via outlook 2003

Hello,

I am trying to connect a windows 2000 client that has outlook2003 to our
exchange server over the internet. We read the help file labeled Using
Outlook via the Internet. In there is a quick fix for xp clients but I do
not see one for w2k. We also noticed that the following isn't on the w2k
client. Is a w2k client with outlook2003 about to connect to exchange via
the internet? Thanks in advance.

1.. Select Connect using SSL only, and then select Mutually authenticate
the session when connecting with SSL.
2.. In the Principal name for proxy server box, type the following text:

Do you have a VPN? What version is your Exchange Server? (5.5? 2000?
2003?)

Ben,

Thanks for the quick response. We are not wanting to use a vpn solution.
We have exchange 2003 installed via our SBS2003 xp clients have no issue
using the RPC over http but we cannot find the options for w2k.

Ben,

Could the w2k machines connect to exchange if a VPN was enabled? We have
48 people with w2k and we cannot afford to upgrade all of the computers at
the moment.
