Connect macintosh to SBS2003 server

We have a customer that would like to connect a few
Macintosh computers to their SBS2003 based LAN. They want
to be able to store files on the SBS server, print to
shared printers on the LAN, and also us Outlook on the
Macintosh computers to access the exchange server in
sbs2003. Can someone tell me what I need to load at the
SBS2003 server side in order to accomplish this? Also -
are there any third party products needed, or is
everything built into SBS2003?
Thanks!

Hi Kent!

If your Macs are running Mac OS 9, you can install File and Print Services
for Macintosh on your SBS server. If your Macs comprise a relatively small
percentage of your overall computer client base (maybe less than 15
percent), then I'd suggest purchasing a few Dave clients
(http://www.thursby.com) instead for the Macs. This would put the burden of
the connection on the Macs and not add more administrative overhead to your
server.

If your Macs are running Mac OS X, you can use the built-in SMB services for
working in Windows networks. I'd suggest upgrading to the latest version
10.3.2 (10.3.3 just released, but haven't tested it).

Outlook 2001 (free) will run on both Mac OS 9 or in Classic mode on Mac OS
X. Microsoft Entourage ($99) is available as a native Exchange client for
Mac OS X.

You probably already have most everything you need.

Hope this helps! bill
