connect calender to Access database

I have a database of customers with appointment times for service. It would be outstanding if I could automatically swap information between the two programs or at least input the Access info into the calender for scheduling. I have tried to export from Calender to Access and then insert back to Calender, but it doesn't work worth a hoot. Does anyone have experience with this

What didn't work? You can also use Access VBA code to create/update Outlook
items.
