confusion with headers

I was trying to make a list with satellite frequencies, consisting of two
sections.
The first section contains TV frequencies and the second section radio.
When trying to make headers, I enter page numbers and some info containing
the word 'TV' and explicitly set it for this section.
After having done so for odd and even pages I continue to the second section
and do the same for odd and even pages for the SECOND section, replacing the
word 'TV' with 'RADIO'.

What do you think? After finishing, ALL headers show the word RADIO again.
So what's the use of distinguishing between sections? Have I missed
something???

Linea,
When entering the second section you must deactivate the same as previous
setting it's the fifth from the right. Then you change TV to Radio and
everything should be allright.

I think you forgot to toggle off "same as previous(or link
to previous) in the section 2 header. It is like an old
fashioned player piano music sheet.

Thanks very much! Everything fine now. That's one headache less! How did
this 'same as previous' setting get activated? Is it a default?

There is one other thing you might know: the buttons on the button bar seem
to jump around and have a different location each time. I hate this
behaviour because one keeps searching and fail to see how this is supposed
to help a user. Is there any setting where I can disactivate this
"animation"?

If you still have adaptive menus enabled, that could be the cause of buttons
"jumping around." Open Tools | Customize and select the Options tab. If you
have Word 2000, clear the check box for "Menus show recently used items
first" and "Standard and Formatting share one row." If you have Word 2002 or
2003, check the boxes for "Always show full menus" and "Show Standard and
Formatting toolbars on two rows."

Thats the one...

That's one of the first things I allways change. I think 'menu animation' is
also a disastrous invention!

and "Show Standard and
Formatting toolbars on two rows."

OK, I had this unchecked. I'll see if things improve.
