confused

All this Sata & Raid stuff is driving me up a wall. I want to run my two
raptors as Sata drives not with striping or mirroring in raid. Do I have to
install the raid drivers or will the Sil 3112 Sata drivers accomplish this?
Also I keep reading about running the Sata's as IDE. How's that possible?

yyou can run them as individual drives..but if you want to boot to them you
need to install the drivers when Windows asks for them otherwise Win can not
see them.You can buy SATA-IDE adapters and vice versa.Some drives came with
both SATA and IDE ports..not sure if any do now.

The sil 3112 drivers are raid/sata drivers, whether you choose to config as
raid is up to you.
