Confused bout Computer Configuration/Software Install GPO?

All,

I'm trying to do a software install via GPO in an OU. I have the office
msi/mst all set up. Now normally, I have most of my companys Computers in
the Computer folder in AD user/computers. And my users in a OU called
"NEWYORK".

Now I'm trying to assign the software package to the Computer
Configurations/Software Installations. BUT because I don't have any
computers in the "NEW YORK" OU that won't apply. SO, I created a sub OU
under "NEWYORK" called "NYCOMP". I moved 3 workstations into the "NYCOMP" OU
for testing. APPLIED the software installation to the Computer
Configurations on the top level "NEWYORK" OU. Restarted each of the 3
machines, and NO GO? How come?

Just for kicks, I applied the software installations/Computer CONFIG GPO on
the "NYCOMP" OU and still no go. What am I doing wrong?

Have the changes replicated amongst your DCs?

Do a gpresult /v on the problem machines and see if it shows the policy as
having been applied.

Send me the winlogon.log file from c:\windows\security\logs from one of the
problem machines if you like and I'll take a look.
