Confirmed MAS is no good against spyware !!!!

Ok, I've just downloaded spyware detector and done a free scan, this detected
11 spywares with 13 associated worms.

Look2Me, BrowserSpy, Casino Tropez, WindUpdates
247RealMedia, EyeBlaster, Gain, Ads.cdfreaks, Advertising.com, Cookie,
Dogpiletoolbar

I then ran MAS and guess what it, it reports my system is totally clean and
never even detected any of the above.

In all this would say to me MAS is rubbish, and doesn't do what it's
supposed to do.

Come on Microsoft fix your buggy software

I shouldn't have to do a scan in safe mode

I should be able to scan a fully active working system, not one that has do
be run in safe mode

also i donwloaded the version of the web yesterday, and this reports it
expires at end of year, yet according to microsofts website it expires next
year

Obviously you don't know how any software works. If it is loaded, it can
affect any other software, so obviously malware that is loaded has a better
chance of hiding itself. It is likely, but not guaranteed, that starting in
Safe Mode will *not* load the malware.

I do know how software works

if everything else can detect them, while running a system as normal, then
why can't MAS, probably as it's as buggy as Windows is itself.

And just for reference even in safe mode, it doesn't detect them either

The reason MSAS doesn't detect them is simple, very simple.

Check out SpywareWarrior.com's list of Rouge/Suspect list of AntiSpyware
product's (http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm) and Apyware
Detector is listed there. They also list the ones to trust, and MSAS is on
this list under Legitimate/Licensed Clones, hence it's scan results are LEGIT!

The people who develop these types of products use blatently false positives
to goad people into shelling out their hard-earned money to rid their system
of spyware they don't have.
