Configuring Vista's "Photo" screensaver

On XP I have used the "My Photos" screensaver and was able to set the
speed of slide show just which I want with the help of spin control
in which I set the number of seconds for displaying one photo.

In Vista I have ONLY THREE predefined options: "slow", "medium" and
"fast". And "slow" here means the speed faster than I have ever used.
Who at Microsoft in his/her infinite wisdom decided that 5 seconds for
displaying photo is a slow speed? That's just another point why Vista
is a terrible (and very stupid) OS.

Who can advise me how I can correct the stupidity of Vista developers
and set the speed of slide show I want?

Thanks.

It is supposed to be a SCREENSAVER, not a slide-show!

Thank you for your brilliant answer. Obviously developers of this
screensaver didn't know that, since they called the parameter which
I'm talking about - "Slide Show speed".

By the way, I solved this problem simply by copying and installing on
Vista the screensaver from XP. Unfortunately, I cannot copy in the
same way many other parts of OS and replace many things on Vista that
are just as stupid as the new "Photos" screensaver.
