Left-Click on your gmail account. You will see a list of IMAP folders
(Inbox, Deleteted Items, etc). There should be a folder with the name
[Gmail].Uncheck the Syncronization box and WinMail will not attempt to
download that in the future. While you are there, check or uncheck any
syncronization boxes you want.

This helped somewhat. I am 1 week new to Windows Vista and Windows Mail.

My trouble is that my mail will not purge. I delete it and it's gone. But
when I click on say... the All Mail folder again after deleting, the mail
downloads again. So I tried unclicking the Gmail folder and the All Mail
folder only to have it continue to download all the mail I just deleted.

Hope this makes sense. Help is appreciated!
