Hi
I have got an EPSON 1520 printer with an ethernet card C823622 (Ethernet
Print Server). Both are new, though they are several years old (never
used actually).
Configuring the network card is supposed to be done using a utility like
WinAssist. Unfortunately, when I launch this utility, my printer does
not show up in the utility window.
I have checked that the printer is correctly connected (green light on
on the network card, light on for the corresponding output of my router).
I have pressed the status sheet button and the sheet says that the IP
address of the card is 11.22.33.44.
However, the configuration utility does not recognize it. I tried to
ping the printer at this address, I got no response.
What is wrong with it?
Thanks in advance.

Your computer won't communicate with the printer unless the IP address
is within 'range'. You need to change the IP address of your computer
to match the printer, in your case something like 11.22.33.XX (xx
being any numeral other than 44). Now you can access your printer via
your browser by entering the printer IP address. You can now change
the printer IP address to the range used by your computer before you
altered it, (say 192.168.1.XX being typical). Now change your printer
back to the range it was using before you started this exercise and
you will now be able to access the printer.
