config.nt

Kerry

I have a program that won't install in XP Home edition, but I can install it
under windows 2000, 98, & 95. The error I keep getting is:
16 bit MS-DOS subsystem path to the program C:\Windows\System32\command.com
C:\Windows\system32\config.nt
The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and windows applications.
When I installed it under win 2000 the config file was exactly the same as
my XP config file
I have tried the fix at microsoft to no avail. Can anyone give me a better
set of instructions to install this software or change my config.nt.
Thanks
