Computers not displayed in workgroups

I was running a home work group using a Linksys wireless
router (WRT45G). All computers either connected to the
router with a cable or wireless were displayed it the
work group. Recently I moved the wireless box and it is
now wired to a Linksys router box (BEFSR41). The problem
is now I can only see the computers connected to the same
router box; I can not see computers hooked to the wired
box form computer using the wireless box or vice versa.
I can ping the various computers from the different boxes
and can connect to the computer using PC Anywhere, so the
are "talking" to each other just not displayed in the
workgroup and I can not access the files and floppy
drives from the computers hooked to the different boxes.
I have verified NetBOIS over TCP/IUP is enabled on all
the computers. I need to access the desk top connected
to the wired box since my wireless laptop does not have a
floppy drive. Any suggestions?

You should have only one router on your network or you'll break it up into
pieces such as you have now. The router with the Internet connection should
stay configured as a router, the other should be put into simple switch mode
with router and DHCP functions turned off. Check the manual that came with
your router for details.

(switch) could not access the internet. Linksys support
told me to install them the way the are now. But I will
retry. Thanks for the information.

Make sure you are using the "uplink" port on the router to connect the
switch (or the router with DHCP and routing disabled) to connect to the main
router. If neither the main router or the switch (second router) doesn't
offer an uplink port you may need a crossover cable to connect them.

According to Linksys, you can not use the uplink port on

the "switch" box. You need to connect the cable from the
first (router) box to port #4 on the box acting as the
switch, not the uplink port. (I found this information
buried on their web site.) Their tech support could not
give me this information when I called them; they told me
I had to use the uplink port to connect the two boxes
together. I moved the cable to port # 4 and can now see
all the computers on the network regardless of which box
they are connected to.
