Hi

My Computer turns itself off frequently giving the following messages in the
Event Viewer

Event ID: 7026
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
PCIIde

Event ID: 7000
The BDRSDRV service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the path specified.

This usually occurs when my son is either:
Playing games
Using messenger
On MySpace

It does not occur during normal surfing or other use.

My Computer is Windows Home SP2

Any ideas on how to rectify this.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=BDRSDRV+service. It could be an effect
of malware, or maybe not. I suggest you start with a thorough scan for
malware.

It may simply be an overheating problem. What are the temps of your cpu
and case when this happens?
