Computer shuts off when I play games

When i put a game into my drive it plays but then after 5 minutes it just
completly shuts off my computer, I downloaded a game off the internet and it
did the same thing?
 
Might be over heating. Take case off and check all fans for dirt, especially
the cpu heat sink and fan.
 
most common cause is over heating.
especially while gaming.
check computer site for temp monitor program.
speed fan or mother board monitor are 2 3rd party ones that work.

I have been told that by many people that it over heats, I also should have
mentioned that I and on a laptop and dont really know what to do to fix the
problem. Mainly because I am horrible with computers.
