Computer A and Computer B are connected through Cisco 4000
router. Both use LMHOST to resolve the naming. A can ping
B Ip address and NetBIOS name. A use windows 2000 "search"
B by name. B can ping A IP adress and NetBIOS name but B
cannot "search" A (NETBIOS Name. All port in router is
open and configured as CISCO standard procedure.

My question are
1) What is the cause?
2) How "search" function? which TCP port it use?
3) What command can I use to check the ports on router?

Thank You!

What are the OS's of each system?

The Windows 2000 Search function for computernames is actually searching the
Active directly for objects with that computer name. So I assume the ports
would be TCP/389 for LDAP.
