computer monitor

Ya i am having problems with my computer monitor. recently i cant change the
size of the settings. like right now its on 800x600, and it works fine but
the screen is like strectched out on the sides but the top and bottom are
normal size just not the sides. when i change the size from 800x600 to any
other size the screen flickers, the middle of my screen is blurry and sides
are clear.

Try a different monitor; I believe that one is on its last legs. It
could be the graphics card, or might just need an adjustment with the
controls on the front of the CRT, but I don't think so.
