Hi,
My friends computer keeps shutting down when she tries to boot it up, what
happens is it starts to boot, but when it get to the windows screen it keeps
shutting down. The strange thing is if she leaves it alone after around
15-20 mins it boots up properly. I don't think it is a virus as it will
eventually boot up. Any help appreciated thanks guys
Regards
Bob

Could be power supply, motherboard or RAM. Run Memtest86 to test RAM.
Replace PS with known good to test PS. Boot from Knoppix CD to verify
motherboard is working.
