computer in need of help, help please!!!!!! :-[

I have a Windows XP Home Edition v5.1 computer, from VAIO Sony, a PCV-RX550,
lately, I am having a lot of issues with the Operating System[OS] first of
all, Registry Editor, Task Manager, and Microsoft Configuration Tool
[Msconfig] will open, and then quickly close down, I have checked for
viruses with Trend Macro 2000 w/the latest update, and it can't find a
virus, worn, or trojan, I used windows update to get all of the available
updates, but they don't work, and now, if I close the language bar from the
Task Bar, task bar minimizes, and locks itself, I have to have the Language
Bar in the Task Bar so I could see the Task bar, and if that isn't enough,
the language bar is definitely not cooperating with me anymore, so it
decided to be the Task Bar, and when I open up a windows, it does not
display in the Task Bar because the Language bar is in the way, if I move
the langauge bar, it closes, hides the task bar, and locks the task bar in
hidden mode, I have tried to unhide the Task Bar, but it doesn't work,
please, some one help me!!!!!!!! :-[ :-{ :-( =[

Hi,

Despite what Trend is showing, you are infected. There are several viruses
that can cause this problem, but to help you recover, start by using the
emergency tools described here:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_emerutils.htm

Then download a different AV program and run it in Safe mode.
