Computer freezes on email links

When I click on email link either on website or in an
email, the computer freezes and even ctrl, alt, del will
not get me out. Have to turn off computer.

Windows XP Home Version. Internet Explorer 6.0

My system does that but only when I click a link in email. If I already have
IE open before I click the link, it works okay.

Get ProcessExplorer and you can shut things down even when they're froze and
not have to reboot. It's also good for shutting down everything when you run
scandisk instead of rebooting into Safe Mode.
