I compressed the pictures in a powerpoint presentation
from the "Format Picture" diagloge box and
now random pictures are being inserted into the slide
where a differnt picture should be. Anyone else
experiencing this?
Also when you compress all it totally screws animations

Joe,
This appears to be a problem experienced after using image compression.
Images get swapped within the presentation for no apparent reason. We've had
folks who have experienced the same after using the image compression
feature.

Hi Joe,

did you insert your images with Copy/Paste? We had this problem recently
with pasted screenshots.

If you save your images or screenshots as a graphic file (I prefer PNG, but
JPG or GIF will work as well), and use "Insert - Graphics - From file" they
normally stay in place and behave correctly. At last they did when I
replaced all images using this method.

I need not mention that this occured shortly after midnight, only minutes
before we wanted to start printing handouts and burning CD-ROMs for an
important client presentation the next day ... a proof of Murphy's Law again
;-(

Kind regards,
Ute

I don't think I will use this feature in the future.
