No, the menu option still does not appear.
John
That's the right expectation John. Are you getting that menu option now?

Ramesh and Will Denny, thanks for your responses. I finally got a chance to
get back on the "problem computer" and tried your recommendations. I got a
confirming message that the command executed properly. However, I didn't get
the response that I was looking for. My expectation was that I would now see
the the icon and Compressed (zipped) Folder command on the sub menu of
File-New in the Windows Explorer window (and in the right-click menu when
clicked on the right pane). Is this the right expectation? How else do I
find the Compressed Folder?
John
John,
You can get back the "Compressed Folder" option by typing REGSVR32
ZIPFLDR.DLL in RUN box.
BTW, Windows XP supports two types of compression, NTFS compression and
compression by using the Compressed (zipped) Folders feature. Both are
different. This knowledge article might help!

You're right. The computer displaying the problem did have ZipItFast
installed at one time. It has been uninstalled. Now, how to repair the
damage?

The compressed ZIP folder is a part of the operating system.
It may be altered when one installs a 3rd party ZIP manager such as Winzip
[depending upon the installation settings chose by the operator on
installation].
