Complex Password Policy not enabled

Hi,

The Microsoft Complex Passsword Policy states that Password cannot
contain any three
sequential characters from the User Name. This however doesn't seem to
be the case, And I can't figure out why?. I have enabled the Complex
Passsword Policy in the Active Directory, but the AD would still
accept User Name along with some numbers as its Password.

Please Help,

Ben

Where did you set the policy? Password policies for domains must be set
at the root of the domain. If you set it anywhere else it won't work.

As well it must be the group policy at the domain level with highest
priority. Best practices is to use the default domain policy, if not a good
reason to do some thing other.
