Completed tasks still appear in Outlook Today screen

I can't seem to get my completed tasks to disappear from the outlook today screen! My customize outlook today button DOES, I repeat DOES work, but there is no option to sort by due date

Completed tasks are still on my outlook today screen, even if I click on the "show today's tasks" only

Any help? I have spent hours trying to figure this out!
