Complete Build has no applications

I have finally gotten a complete build to work and boot. The First Boot
wizard runs and then the system reboots. However there is only the log off
and shutdown buttons in the menu.

My build has the pro terminal template which includes networking, IE, media
player etc. But none of these apps are available on the start menu. no
explorer either.

Am I missing something in the process or something?

No, just in the settings. Look at the settings for User Interface Core -
that lists what shows up on the start menu. You'll need to tick the
things you want in there.
