Well if there is you should have said so. You said, "if it ruins your
printer you did not save anything. This is not true. If my printer
blows up today I saved over $100. If my printerhead fails after 10
replacements that is the expected life of the printer in the first
place.

Of course you're basing that solely on your own recollection of
the postings you've seen. Although I rarely speak up about it,
when I provided computer support for many departments at the
University of Illinois, we had terrible problems with third party
ink cartridges and toner cartridges. The dealers were willing
to swap the defective ones, but it wasn't worth out trouble
or excessive printer maintenance.

NOW YOUR TALKIN
It seems like every lab had a grad student who insisted that
THEY used third party inks and toner without any problems, and
would order it for the lab, but my group was stuck fixing
the problems.

THESE IDIOTS DO NOT HAVE DA BRANES TO DELL DA TIFFERENCE
It doesn't make much sense to post that in this newsgroup because
it seems like the real proponents of third-party supplies are
convinced that their individual experience applies to everybody,

DAY ARE DUMBSHITS.

LIKE THE CHURCH MEMBERS
BURTIE FURTIE
FRANKIE CRANKIE
TALLYHO
ARTIE GAFARTEE
ZOOKUE COOKIE AKA MATT ZUKOWSKI
OBEE CANOBEE
HOOTER COOTER
AND MANY MORE
and my experiences with literally hundreds of printers don't
matter.

*
I AGREE WITH YOU*
I also can't say with any certainty that there AREN'T good third
party ink and toner supplies. I never found them.

JUST WHORES THAT WILL NOT TELL YOU WHAT MFG/FORMULATOR THEY SELL
ESPECIALLY WITH PREFILLED CARTS
I do know that
ink chemistry is critical. Even on impact type printers (tele-
typewriters) the wrong ink on the ribbon could really gum things up.
Those machines were a lot more rugged than the modern printers.

It's also been my experience that most people are willing to replace
their hardware more frequently than I am.

THEY ARE IMBECILES

Well, of course I do. If I want to see "Batman Begins" but "Napoleon
Dynamite" is cheaper, I'll buy Napoleon Dynamite, knowing that I'm
saving money.

No, wait, that would be stupid.

NO NO IT MAKES SENSE TO THE DUMB MORONIC IMBECILES WHO POST IN THIS NG.
MANY OF THEM ARE IN THE BUSINESS AND ARE AFFILIATED WITH THE WHORES THAT
SELL THE SHIT. THAT IS WHY THEY ARE SO RELIGIOUS.
The price and content aren't related.
Likewise, I might be able to shop around and find the one I actually
want slightly cheaper, and it would be wise to buy it there -- but I
know it will be absolutely identical to the more expensive one, with
absolutely no difference at all. It won't be on a cheaper material,
printed on cheaper paper, or stored in a crappy box.

So would assuming that all bread is exactly alike, regardless of the
price.

And I *know* that the ink chemistry differs.

People who shop exclusively for price get cat food instead of tuna.

I THINK THEY EAT PUSSY INSTEAD OF CAT FOOD

Hmm. I seem to recognise the 'amusing' name you assigned to me in there.
You've evidently forgotten that I've told you I never use third-party
inks. Still, you never have been one to let facts get in the way of your
opinions, have you?

Just to remind you: My objection to your monomaniacal ravings is due to
/your/ never have used third-party inks, either. So you're claiming
expertise in a subject of which you have no personal experience. Which
makes your opinion worthless.

You can spit your dummy out now.

THAT IS BULLSHIT. I HAVE SEEN OVER THE COURSE OF A YEAR ALL OF THE

No, it isn't. It's one of the reasons I didn't buy a canon at first,
because the head was so spendy and the lifespan was limited. Ask Canon
your self if you don't believe me.

I saved so much thus far that I could buy another printhead or another
printer without loss. This is a fact.

They are called passafiers on this side of the pond. I say this
because the dummy wouldn't know what a dummy was. Unless your using
yank slang and are saying he sucks on his life sized Yoda mannequin.

Yes, I find it amusing that i'm in the list as well. Not that I don't
use them but I don't claim they are 100% the same and 100% trouble
free. I do claim there are options that look pretty good, and other
options where the vender says specificly who made the ink.

Ah, yes. Thanks. I did know that but the late hour seems to have stopped
the fact occurring to me.

Never mind. Every time he does something stupid like that he convinces
more people to ignore his opinion. As if they needed any more convincing!

What's funny is the fact that he's using impressive logic.

a. 3rd party user has issue
b. 3rd party user seeks support
c. issue was the third party product

Failing to take into account

a. User has issue
b. User seeks support
c. Issue may or may not be ink related

Given at some point everyone will have an issue with their printer it's
easy to blame the ink. I'm willing to believe the factory reccomended
ink is going to in all likelyhood be more troublefree. This is
reasonable. And for users who are not techsavy it can be totally worth
it.

maybe he had a frontal lobotomy?
Same difference though.
