Compatible All in One Printers with Vista Home Prem.

Does anyone have suggestions for compatible all in one printers for Vista
home prem? I have a new HP Pav.9205 notebook and I can't use my printer.
Lexmark does not have a compatible driver at this time per their tech
support. Would like to purchase a wireless, but want to know it will work
first. Thanks for any help.

Most of the modern Canaan units are compatible, some out of the box
(Although Canon's driver is needed for full functionality)

Tanya: See my message below regarding multifunction printers and
replacement for my Lexmark. I went ahead and got a new Canon MP600 and
it is really nice. Great printing/scanning/copying, and the drivers
work fine with Vista. No problems whatsoever.

Highly recommend it.

Have fun choosing and remember not to be intimidated by the store staff!!!

Oh, and if they tell you that this one "looks pretty" as part of the
sales pitch, I believe you're legally justified in hitting them.

(friend of mine got that when she was wanting to buy a new computer)

I have a HP 2710. I don't know what the most current model is. It is
wireless. Not only is it compatible, Vista Home Premium installed the
drivers automatically and set it up for me. I didn't even have to touch the
HP disk.

Apparently just to print. I haven't installed the XP drivers yet to see
what happens. Did you by chance already know the answer to your question?

I have HP 3210, have good print capability, but only limited scan capability
via a direct link to the AIO's IP address, which yields the basic AIO status
page and includes a basic scanning interface. From what I read here and HP
site, a full featured driver/scanner package for Vista will be coming from
HP in the future. I would like to know if the XP drivers work for you, as I
haven't been brave enough to try that. (Like many others, I want full
features now rather than later.)

I'm using a LexMark X7350 here, (printer/scanner/copier/fax) and it works
fine with the new Vista drivers LexMark put on their web site last week.

Well, I'm going to try it tomorrow. I have three other printers networked
so I don't have much to lose. I'll let you know how the XP drivers work.

Progress report (or lack thereof). The XP driver wouldn't install, even
when run with administrator permissions. I was going to hook up my 4200c
scanner but the hp site says it's more than 7 years old and won't work (I
might try to install the driver anyway). In the meantime I'll just fire up
the XP print server (an old Athlon 1700 with 512MB ram put together from
spare parts) and leave it on. I'll just scan from there when I need to.

Thank you so much for this information! I have spent an entire day looking
online trying to find reasonably priced all-in-ones that are compatible with
Vista.
