Compatibility Problems

Why can't I get my new XP software to work with my word processing programs (or vise versa)?. I was told XP was incompatible with Word Perfect 9 so I bought WP-11. It still doesn't work. And my Word program is doing crazy things too. Whenever I want to word process, the system gets into a continuous loop and I get messages that the programs are not responding
What's wrong? I appreciate any hints

P.S. I took off WP9 before installing WP11 but an old version of Word is still on there.

Hi Sheri,

Just wanted to let you know that WordPerfect 9 works with WinXPhe.

I just did a full install of it accepting the defaults and it has run no problem on two different WinXPhe laptops.
