Compare SQL DB

We are in planning to upgrade a system that we're using for MRP soon, but
want to know what the differences are in table structures between the old and
the new versions. Is there a way that MsAccess can help with automating this
process without having to manually compare each table and fields? Perhaps we
can connect or download the structures of both databases into MsAccess and
then do the comparison? Any pointers would help in this getting this project
along. Thanks in advance.

Hi Samantha,

I have a program that can do this if Access is linked to the tables. If
it would be permissible for me to connect to your computer, email me and
I can run my analyzer and give you Access tables with the information
you will need to do your comparison.

Warm Regards,
Crystal

Hi Crystal,
Appreciate your trying to help out, but unfortunately our company does not
allow connection of this type to our company. Is there any other way to do
this? Is it complicated code to compare the tables and its properties? I see
that MsAccess itself has an Analyzer but it does not compare tables.

Hi Samantha,

email me and I'll send you the code ... but it doesn't always run
smoothly, which is why I hate to give it out... put "Analyzer" in the
subject line
