Compaq monitor problem.

Hi,
My friend has got a Compaq with Pentium III 128 Mb RAM, OS is Windows ME.
His monitor is also Compaq S710 model. A strange thing happends, we could
not adjust the screen resolution, it stays at 640X480, and the adjustment
handle in the "Display Property" dialog Setting Tab will not let us alter
the res., either when we hover the mouse on it, it just stay dead.
Please, any one with any suggestion? We will be most appreciated.

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers for your video card? If you don't
have a motherboard CD visit www.hp.com and do a search for the Compaq model.
Locate the video drivers for Windows Me and install them. This is a Windows
XP forum. You should post hardware questions about Windows Me to

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windowsme.general
